Moderate Rain and Various Degrees of Sanity

My current top 10 albums of ALL time(many subject to change).

10. Rilo Kiley, The Execution of All Things/More Adventurous

Yes, I know I know..It is a bit of a cheat to have two albums under one but I could care less only because I could not just pick one album by Rilo Kiley, The Execution of All Things is such a beautiful album. The remarkable voice of Jenny Lewis is both despairing and comforting while reflecting the lyrical confusion that is typical Rilo. Also, More Adventurous is a little bit more upbeat and fun but definitely doesn't miss it's own concept lyrically. Lastly, big ups to Blake Lively's "Three Hopeful Thoughts", it's charming to say the least.

9. The Sonics, Here Are The Sonics

It is a shame that The Sonics did not really have anything else as good as this album, It is a pretty amazing one. The raw musical power of well dress men should never be overlooked.

8. Wu Tang Clan, Enter the Wu Tang (36 Chambers)

Need I say more?

7. Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

I love this album so so so much. It has some really great songs by the lips such as the obvious yoshimi battles the pink robots part 1 & 2, fight test, it's summertime, in the morning of magicians...well, the whole thing is good. LISTEN & LOVE!

6. The Strokes, Room On Fire

I am a big fan of all of The Strokes albums but I found that this one seems to be my most favorite. This band is all it's own I can not even think of another band that sounds like them or vice versa, maybe you could I don't know but I could come up with an argument to justify my last statement very easily, anyway there will never be another band like them, ever.

5. The Doors, L.A. Woman

The Doors! This band has so many good songs it is ridiculous...in a good way, naturally. I love this album mostly because it has most of my favorites on it.

4. Joy Division, Permanent

The 90s never sounded so good! Joy Division was such a brilliant band. The typical content as well as the music is mind blowing. This album is so emotional charged. Ian Curtis was such a killer musician. This album has the very popular and overly played "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and some of the less played yet good songs like "Transmission", "Isolation", "Passover", and many many more. This album is the shit, literally.

3. My Bloody Valentine, Loveless

This band has to be one of the best of all time in my own personal opinion. It's a perfect blend of ambient, dreamcast shoegazey stuff. This album is good for anyone that enjoys any of those types of music. Again, check out all their stuff..it's all different and sweet sounding to the ear.

2. The Velvet Underground, VU

This is a great collection and representation of TVU, they are such a melodic band. They have won me over many of times.

1. The Smiths, BEST BAND

Again, I am being lame by not really picking a specific album however it is nearly impossible to do that with The Smiths. I love you, Morrissey and Johnny Marr. This is musical harmony for me in it's simplist form. This band had only good music, every single album is golden.
